In April of 1988 Ian Bristow was appointed as Head Grounds / Maintenance person for the then City of Camberwell Tennis Centre (now known as the Boroondara Tennis Centre). Ian had 23 courts to maintain along with Grounds, Gardens, Lawns and Buildings. From these early beginnings learning how to maintain synthetic grass surfaces.

In 1990 Ian started Court Tecnics working on private home courts, machine brushing and chemical treatments. As business grew from its part time beginnings into a full time business employing workers to help with the growing needs to perform on Tennis Courts.

Ian still maintains the courts at Boroondara T.C along with numerous tennis clubs, private courts, high schools & sporting venues etc. Court Tecnics offers installation of new synthetic grass surfaces through to replacements, repairs, cleaning, maintenance and court equipment – and yes… Ian does play and has an understanding of tennis and the needs of players in a way they wish for their court to perform.
